The Vaughan City Lashers, named in memory of former National Team Player David Lash, honour that stars memory every time they go on court. The Lashers logo bears the imagery of David Lash and will forever immortalize a friend and teammate who was a player coach with many of the current Lashers in 2005 when his team then, the Toronto Spitfires, went undefeated during the year and captured the gold medal at the CWBL Finals.
